This is a super tough, highly resistant watch! The Squale T-183 Forged Carbon series is designed and built to be both extra tough and extremely light weight. Squale have achieved this with the introduction of high-tech carbon fiber. The case is made of forged carbon with an extremely resistant brushed ceramic bezel.

Forged carbon is a type of carbon fiber that is incredibly strong, yet light. The term “forged” is derived from the manufacturing process: small fragments of carbon fiber are placed in molds together with resin, then compressed and “forged” at high temperature. The mottled effect is a unique characteristic resulting from this process. The carbon flakes, in fact, are positioned randomly, creating unique and unrepeatable patterns for each part of the product.

Every case begins life as a single block of forged carbon, from which individual cubes are carved. Through a process using high-precision machinery, a single case is machined from each of the cubes, removing the material until the final shape is obtained. These semi-finished carbon pieces then have a steel housing inserted in them that guarantees durability and excellent water resistance.

With the Squale T183 Forged Carbon, water resistance is guaranteed by an internal cylindrical 316L stainless steel case. This internal case, containing the movement, is inserted by means of pressure into the semi-finished carbon piece, designed with the utmost precision for a perfect fit. The combination of steel with forged carbon is the crucial element for a product that is light yet resistant to high pressures (up to 60 ATM).

The 42mm case which features a unique pattern of carbon flakes has a stainless steel screw-in case back with the water resistance guaranteed up to 600 meters or 60 Atmos.

The signed screw-down crown, coin-shaped 120 click bezel and caseback are all coated in DLC (diamond-like-carbon), which is more resistant than PVD and practically scratch proof. The brushed black bezel insert is made of highly resistant ceramic and the triangle marker at 12 o'clock emits a blue glow in the dark using BGW09 Swiss Super-LumiNova®.

The matte grey dial with applied indexes is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal which is enhanced with an anti-reflective treatment. An important feature of the Squale T-183 is the Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9, featured both on the indexes (applied on the dial) and on the hands, which guarantees perfect readability even under extreme conditions.

The Squale T-183 Carbon is powered by the highly reliable and precise Swiss Sellita SW200 Elaboré movement having 26 jewels and running at 28,800 vph with a power reserve of 38 hours.

To complete the unique look of the T-183, each watch comes with a rubberized leather strap matched to its colors. The leather of the strap is in fact coated in rubber; the sides are then trimmed, waxed, and hand-painted in a color to match the details of the hands and dial, giving a modern look with superior comfort.
